David Dresner, a St. Louis entrepreneur and Washington University alum, is using his company to support a much larger cause: Equality for all Missourians.

David is best known for being a passionate businessman and heavily involved in the local community. His companies, Sleeve a Message and Coast a Message, are supporting Equality for all Missourians by donating custom-printed coasters for the 10th Annual Urbanaire PROMO Event, occurring Friday, May 13.

Sleeve a Message is a local manufacturer and printer of custom beverage sleeves and coasters. The company is eager to utilize this print medium to promote powerful messaging such as equality. This is David’s second year donating to the cause.

Founder and CEO, David Dresner, realizes that beverage sleeves and coasters are not only effective for messaging and branding, but also to disperse essential information to the masses. “It is important to use everything at my disposal to support causes near and dear to my heart, especially in the current political climate.”

PROMO is Missouri’s statewide organization advocating for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender equality through legislative action, electoral politics, grassroots organizing and community education.

This year’s Urbainaire event is aimed at highlighting equality for the community. To go along with the “highlighting” theme, attendees are asked to wear their brightest colors in solidarity.

Other than great drink coasters, attendees can look forward to an open bar, live entertainment, a live DJ, and a special main event experience. Premium ticket holders can also enjoy appetizers from over 20 local restaurants and a live and silent auction. All proceeds will benefit PROMO and LGBT equality in Missouri.

David Dresner, founder of St. Louis startup-turned-booming success, Sleeve a Message, is an expert panelist for Brown Smith Wallace’s second annual panel presentation: “Checking the Pulse: Funding, Diversity and Perception in the St. Louis Startup Community.”

The panel is comprised of start-up experts in the local community. David Dresner will be joined by Jerry Schlichter from Arch Grants, Ginger Imster from St. Louis Economic Development Partnership, Scott Bernstein from Lewis & Clark Ventures and Dr. Cheryl Watkins-Moore from Bio STL and Accelerated Rehabilitation Technologies.

The presentation will be held at the Venture Café Havana Room (4240 Duncan Ave, St. Louis MO 63110) on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 6:30 p.m.

“Being an entrepreneur and business owner in St. Louis is something I am very proud of,” shares David Dresner. “I am excited to share my insight and story with the community, hopefully to foster more innovations and creativity in the business community.”

Attendees can look forward to discovering the results of Brown Smith Wallace’s second community survey and how it relates to the business opportunities and challenges the St. Louis startup community is facing, including a side-by-side comparison to last year’s results.

Sleeve a Message is famous for its market-disrupting technology, which utilizes flexible, short-run, four-color, variable print, which no competition can match. Their sustainable business practice and minute carbon footprint are the icing on top of a striking company.
